Italian Homestay School- Residential courses in a Villa. Home stay Italian.
___________________________________________________________________________________ -Learn Italian in a Residential (full board) School Appia Vecchia is not a typical Italian language school, but an Italian homestay School with Italian language courses at your teacher's house near Rome .I am the only teacher of my small and unique Residential School, but I have the great advantage to speak six languages.I decided to start my own Italian Residential School( that is to say Homestay School) a few years ago,just before finishing my Master Degree called Itals in Teaching and Promoting Italian language and Culture to foreigners at Ca Foscari University in Venice. Why have I chosen this Homestay( Full board )formula? Because learning Italian as a foreign language in a big group and only in a classroom,does not give you the chance to have a constant contact with your Professore and above all with this beautiful language. Even if you are in Italy, in other schools ,you only speak the language during your Italian classes or with other foreign students and normally it takes you 3 to 4 weeks before you can finish a course at your level. In my Homestay school weekends too are used in a profitable way and your teacher will be with you to give you the chance to carry on practising even during excursions, meals etc..Courses are normally attended by 1 to 5 students maximum all at the same level.Lessons, will also take place on Saturday and Sunday which means the Italian course is going to be intensive but you will finish your 40 hours lessons in 10 days and not in 3,4 weeks like in most schools. Apart from Italian traditional classes (in which I teach grammar in combination with a direct method and the use of authentic materials) I offer you the chance to spend your days with an Italian traditional family and your same qualified Italian Professor.You will be sharing with us every moment of our authentic Italian family life This is certainly the best way to learn the language .You will be able to learn, at no-extra cost, Italian cookery , but also Italian traditions and culture and most of all you will experience the real Italian lifestyle. Guided trips to Roma and surrounding areas plus Italian cookery lessons( at no extra cost), meals conversation, games, tv programms, picking up olives, fruit, vegetable, grape with us ( if you wish), la passeggiata , il rito dell'aperitivo, Italian games, etc will be only some of the moments where you will be using your Italian in a natural and authentic way, all day along, with your teacher.Listening and speaking Italian and having 10, 12 hours of exposure( per day)to this wonderful language, it will make a great difference in 7, 10 or 14 days with us.The School- Villa is surrounded by a huge garden with a wonderful panorama on the near mountains and sea..Apart from Italian language courses, we also offer courses on Italian cinema, literature, culture and tradition, art in our region.Italian Senior courses ( 50 +) Homestay are also available. born with the aim of promoting and spreading Italian language and culture
in Italy and abroad as well as English language and culture, by creating
courses in both languages (Residential and not Residential) for members
only. Our main activities will include conferences, cooking courses, intensive
weekends in the countryside , English
